Electrical Fire Technician/ Licenced Electrician

Rutherford, Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter NSW

The Role

We are seeking 2 * experienced Dry Fire Electrical Fire Technician/ Licenced Electrician to join our Fixed Facilities team in our Hunter Valley region. This role will predominantly involve Inspection, Maintenance, and installation of emergency light systems and Fire detection and Warning systems throughout the region, with the occasional assisting our Newcastle team. We are open to meet candidates having experience across residential, commercial, industrial & mining sites as an Electrician. We are looking for an EAHL Licence holder preferable but are willing to sponsor the EAHL Licence course for a successful applicant.

Ideal Candidate

  • Electrical trade qualification
  • Electrical Licence
  • EAHL- gas licence ( Preferred) but not mandatory
  • Sound understanding of AS1851 and AS1670 and relevant Australian standards and building codes
  • Hold current manual drivers licence
  • Demonstrate a positive / energetic attitude
  • Be solution-based and have the ability to propose solutions to customers for issues
  • Be an all-rounder and have a flexible “can-do” attitude
  • Computer literacy
  • Electrical Fire safety experience – Desirable, not essential

Fire Technician

The Role

  • On and off site commissioning assistance and technical support of the wide range of products which Fire Protection Technologies sell to achieve maximum returns and client satisfaction ( Training will be provided )
  • Carry out Fan Enclosure Integrity Testing ( Training provided)
  • Provide Managers with reports as requested.
  • Liaise with clients as required and carry out administrative tasks
  • Compliance with Management directives and attendant policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned – Both on clients sites and in the USSC Workshop / Warehouse as required
  • Complete Monthly, 6 Monthly & Annual testing in line with AS1851-2012 on the complete suite of Wet/Dry & gaseous fire systems
  • Comply with all workplace health and safety statutes, regulations, policies and prescribed procedures, which include a commitment to safe work practices instructions and rules and using appropriate protective clothing and equipment.

The Role

  • We have a great opportunity for Fire / Field Service Technician to join our established team based from our Perth branch.

    This is hands on role that will suit someone with Mobile Suppression industry experience, or someone with a background in Mechanics, Auto Electrical or Fitting. We are looking for someone who is mechanically minded and enjoys being out on client sites.

Light Vehicle Air Con Tech / Service Technician

If you have the drive, we can train the right candidate to install these systems.”

    We are looking for multiple Light Vehicle Mechanic ‘s/ Aircon tech’s that want to transition into heavy industry and want a career change & break into the mining sector (if you don’t have a  AC license and we will train and upskill the right candidate)

    Fitters that want a change.

    Pls note- This is not a full time FIFO role. This role is a Perth based site role with an occasional FIFO opportunity

Ideal Candidate

  • Test, install and repair air-conditioning, pressurisers, filters and other assorted systems on various small & light vehicals.
  • Build rapport with customers, understand their needs, and handle administrative tasks like data entry and job scheduling.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing and upgrading all types of vehicle’s electrical systems.
  • Diagnose, test and replace defective ignition, wiring, lightning, alternators, generators, voltage regulators, fuses, starter motors etc.
  • Work towards achieving KPI’s and targets.
  • Maintaining WHS standards within the company including when working at external sites.
  • Report any hazards, misconduct, impropriety or unsafe work practices to management.
  • Use technical and research resources to ensure your technical knowledge is current and up to date.
