The Role

Due to the successful growth and restructure of our suppression team, we now have a rare opportunity for a Fire Technician to cover regional areas across NSW on a DIDO/FIFO 7 on 7 off roster.

Demonstrating a positive attitude as well as having a strong mechanical aptitude, you will have the opportunity to further diversify your experience by working across our various United Safety branded Fire Safety products and systems.

Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive Fire Suppression Industry knowledge with experience in mobile fire suppression ( Preferred )
  • Experience within a role that entailed “out on the field” services

Installation Technician - Trades Assistant

The Role

As an experienced Trades Assistant, you will assist in the installation, testing, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and electronic components in Heavy equipment along with testing, installation and repair of air-conditioning, pressurisers, filters and other assorted systems on small, medium and heavy vehicles and equipment. Lyons is into heavy mining industry that is focused in air filtration and air conditioning. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the installation and repair of various internal and external electrical and filtration systems.

IDeal Candidate

  • Minimum of 3 years trades assistant or installation experience required
  • Proven ability to multi-task, be proactive and able to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience working on a range of automotive mechanical, electrical and air-conditioning systems.
  • HR Driver’s License (preferable)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Test, install and repair air-conditioning, pressurisers, filters and other assorted systems on various small & light vehicals.
  • Build rapport with customers, understand their needs, and handle administrative tasks like data entry and job scheduling.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing and upgrading all types of vehicle’s electrical systems.
  • Diagnose, test and replace defective ignition, wiring, lightning, alternators, generators, voltage regulators, fuses, starter motors etc.
  • Work towards achieving KPI’s and targets.
  • Maintaining WHS standards within the company including when working at external sites.
  • Report any hazards, misconduct, impropriety or unsafe work practices to management.
  • Use technical and research resources to ensure your technical knowledge is current and up to date.

Product Manager-Foam Systems Fire Protection

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager- Foam systems that will play a vital role in supporting the estimating, design, engineering of various types of foam-based fire protection systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Special Hazards applications, with previous involvement in commissioning and servicing specialized fire protection systems including Foam Fire Extinguishing Systems, Vapour Containment Systems, Foam Proportioning Equipment, Foam Concentrate applications, strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex systems, excellent communication abilities to liaise with both clients and the internal team, and a proactive attitude toward health, safety, and quality standards. Candidate should have a basic experience working with and designing hydraulic flow systems.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Mechanical Engineering University Degree or similar degree/Tertiary Diploma( Desirable)
  • High degree of water hydraulics knowledge and experience
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence
