• Test, install, and repair air-conditioning, pressurisers, filters, and other assorted systems on various small & light vehicles
•  Build rapport with customers, understand their needs, and handle administrative tasks like data entry and job scheduling.
• Troubleshooting, repairing and upgrading all types of vehicle’s electrical systems
• Diagnose, test and replace defective ignition, wiring, lightning, alternators, generators, voltage regulators, fuses, starter motors etc.

Scheduling Coordinator/Administration Assistant

United Safety is seeking a part time scheduling coordinator/Administrative assistant for a maternity leave coverage period for six months within our Newcastle/Hunter valley office.

This is a part time position working 24 hours in a week stretched to 3 days in a week in office with a possibility to become permanent post six months. The position will suit someone with scheduling/coordination/administration experience preferably within the fire industry.

We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Fire Suppression team based in Hunter Valley with some regional travel required.

This is a hands-on role that will suit someone that has prior experience within a field service role/ Fire suppression industry . We are looking for someone who is mechanically minded and doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty.

We are looking for an entry level trades assistant who will get a chance to work in various departments of the Lyons business over a 12 month fixed term contract gaining hands on experience, training and exposure to different employment streams and opportunities. At the end of the program, the individual will be assessed for suitability to transition into a full time technician role.

The Field/Fire Suppression Technician is responsible for ensuring customer’s essential equipment are installed, serviced, and maintained to the required standard, ensuring the system operates as designed in the event of an emergency. Technicians are required to complete all documentation accurately at the time of the jobs to ensure compliance.  as well as accurate completion of any required documentation.

Our Fire Technicians will promote the United Safety brand and products in a professional manner, and communication with management and staff to ensure a smooth workflow.

• Supervise and assist in the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of safety suppression systems, ensuring all work meets a high standard.
• Provide guidance to team members to ensure they follow correct procedures and deliver quality outcomes.
• Identify noncompliance to AS5062 and note any visual noncompliance of 1851 and mentor team members on compliance standards and best practices.
• Oversee the maintenance of United Safety vehicles, ensuring they are kept in optimal condition.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained and available for jobs.
• Lead by example by presenting to sites neat, tidy, and on time and ensure team members follow the same standards of professionalism.

As an experienced Trades Assistant, you will assist in the installation, testing, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and electronic components in Heavy equipment along with testing, installation and repair of air-conditioning, pressurisers, filters and other assorted systems on small, medium and heavy vehicles and equipment. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the installation and repair of various internal and external electrical and filtration systems.

• Minimum of 5 years trades assistant or installation experience required
• Proven ability to multi-task, be proactive and able to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience working on a range of automotive mechanical, electrical and air-conditioning systems.

The Parts Interpreter and Procurement is responsible for providing quotes, sourcing parts and supporting the teams, whilst maintaining area productivity and providing support to customers and management as required. The role is required to source parts for clients and internal divisions, as well as quote and follow up.

• Procurement and purchasing to form part of your responsibility whilst also working closely with the warehouse management to ensure min / max is completed.
• Parts interpretation when new requests come in to identify and quote.
• Parts obsolesce to be a KPI to ensure working with other departments to move stock that is slow moving to ensure we don’t end up holding extra stock
• Daily orders to be procured using local suppliers to ensure delivery dates are met by the internal sales team
• Focus on ensuring fill rate is about 95% to improve customer sentiment

• Accountable and responsible for external and company sales division, budgets and KPI’s.
• Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve performance expectations while expanding the client base and market opportunities.
• Conduct sales demonstrations and present solutions to clients, attend networking events and host stands at exhibitions and conferences, perform all sales functions including quoting, invoicing, ordering, and follow-up, and write and present business proposals to potential customers.

We are currently seeking an experienced Sprinkler Fitter to join our growing team based in Kewdale WA. This is a hands-on role that will require to visit customer sites as well and will suit someone with experience or wet fire system knowledge.

• Hold a current Australian manual driver’s licence
• Demonstrate a positive / energetic attitude
• Pass a full medical including ongoing random drug & alcohol tests
• Able to travel regionally occasionally with some overnight stays when needed.
