The role of the Applications Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the successful implementation of the Sy-Klone product across Australia, with the exception of Western Australia. This position carries the responsibility of managing various aspects of the planning, design, and installation processes to guarantee that the product meets specified requirements and functions optimally

Ideal Candidate

  • A graduate degree or relevant experience in engineering or technology (Desirable)

The Parts Interpreter and Procurement Supervisor is responsible sourcing parts, supporting the internal sales teams and the service department with their parts requirements. Maintaining the in-house inventory to a satisfactory level by utilizing Min / Max’s and sales history. To provide support to customers and management as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Procurement / purchasing / Inventory Managment
  • Working closely with the warehouse management team to ensure stock min / max are correct
  • Working closely with internal sales and the Service team to ensure all parts are ordered and stock is maintained.
  • Run replenishment reports to understand stock gaps
  • Parts interpretation when new requests come in to identify and quote.
  • Parts obsolesce to be a KPI to ensure working with other departments to move stock that is slow moving to ensure we don’t end up holding extra stock
  • Daily orders to be procured using local suppliers to ensure delivery dates are met by the internal sales team
  • Focus on ensuring fill rate is about 95% to improve customer sentiment
  • Parts interpreting to still be a major part of the position to utilize your years of experience and knowledge however then then ensuring this is documented and entered into the system correctly for scalability – scalability needs to be a focus as we grow
  • Supplier negotiation to ensure pricing for USSC / Lyons is at the best rate possible with all suppliers (national and international)
  • New product sourcing working closely with external sales team for market research prior to procurement beginning
  • Spending time in the service department “hot seat” to assist with service department procurement to continue to build the team spirit at Lyons (expected 2 days once role is up and running)
  • Contract s and tenders to be provided to external sales team.

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager- Foam systems that will play a vital role in supporting the estimating, design, engineering of various types of foam-based fire protection systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Special Hazards applications, with previous involvement in commissioning and servicing specialized fire protection systems including Foam Fire Extinguishing Systems, Vapour Containment Systems, Foam Proportioning Equipment, Foam Concentrate applications, strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex systems, excellent communication abilities to liaise with both clients and the internal team, and a proactive attitude toward health, safety, and quality standards. Candidate should have a basic experience working with and designing hydraulic flow systems.
