We have a great opportunity for Fire / Field Service Technician to join our established team based from our South Australia branch.

This is hands on role that will suit someone with Mobile Suppression industry experience, or someone with a background in Mechanics, Auto Electrical or Fitting. We are looking for someone who is mechanically minded and enjoys being out on client sites.

• Fire Suppression experience or equivalent trade knowledge
• Have a strong mechanical aptitude
• Understanding and knowledge of mechanical parts
• Be able to undergo a pre-employment medical
• Valid Australian drivers’ license
• Cert II Fire Protection & Inspection – desirable, not essential

As a Field/Fire suppression Service Technician at United Safety and Survivability Corporation Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our clients across the Sydney region.

This full-time role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our clients’ equipment and systems.

• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in a field such as engineering, electronics or mechanics

• Hands-on experience in the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of technical equipment and systems

Lead Fire Technician is responsible for ensuring customer’s essential equipment are installed, serviced, and maintained to the required standard, ensuring the system operates as designed in the event of an emergency. Lead Fire Technicians are required to complete all documentation accurately at the time of the jobs to ensure compliance.  as well as accurate completion of any required documentation.

Our Fire Technicians will promote the United Safety brand and products in a professional manner, and communication with management and staff to ensure a smooth workflow.

• Cert in II Fire or the ability to achieve.
• Aqueous / water mist /powder & aerosol fire system understanding or ability to achieve.

We are currently seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to join our team based in Lithgow with some regional travel required. This is hands on role that will suit someone with industry experience, or someone with a mechanical background or mechanical aptitude that has a willingness to learn.

• Have a strong mechanical aptitude
• Understanding and knowledge of Mining Machines
• Be able to undergo a pre-employment medical
• Valid Australian drivers’ licence
• Fire Industry knowledge or basic understanding
• Sprinkler or pump experience (Beneficial, not essential)

• Attend site and conduct initial diagnosis and assessment
• Determine what action is required to get the machine operational and initiate the corrective action, which may involve repair or replacement
• Undertake site installations and commissioning of new systems
• Provide routine preventative maintenance services on existing hydraulic equipment
• Perform allocated work within the workshop, which will include cylinder rebuilds, pump and motor repairs and testing
• Perform work safely and comply with WHS procedures.

• Relevant trade qualifications (ie Diesel, Auto, Mechanical or Hydraulic Fitter, Auto Electrical)
• TAFE Qualified Technician (either Cert 2/4, or Apprenticeship equivalent)
• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar role.
• Vehicle Fire Suppression
• Certificate II in Fire Protection

We have an opportunity for a Fire/field service Technician to join our team based in Mackay. This is hands on role that will suit someone with industry experience, and is looking to step up and be the lead within a close knit team of technicians.

• Cert II in Fire Protection and Inspection desired

We are currently seeking an experienced Sprinkler Fitter to join our growing team based in Balcatta WA. This is a hands-on role that will suit someone with experience or wet fire system knowledge.

• A strong mechanical aptitude
• Previous experience or knowledge with wet fire systems
• Hold a current Australian manual driver’s licence
• Demonstrate a positive / energetic attitude
• Pass a full medical including ongoing random drug & alcohol tests
• Able to travel regionally occasionally with some overnight stays when needed.

We are looking for LV techs that have an air con license and want a career change and want to break into the mining sector (if you don’t have a  AC license and we will train and upskill the right candidate)

• Test, install and repair air-conditioning, pressurisers, filters and other assorted systems on various small & light vehicals
• Build rapport with customers, understand their needs, and handle administrative tasks like data entry and job scheduling.
• Troubleshooting, repairing and upgrading all types of vehicle’s electrical systems.
• Diagnose, test and replace defective ignition, wiring, lightning, alternators, generators, voltage regulators, fuses, starter motors etc.
• Work towards achieving KPI’s and targets.
•  Maintaining WHS standards within the company including when working at external sites.
•  Report any hazards, misconduct, impropriety or unsafe work practices to management.
•  Use technical and research resources to ensure your technical knowledge is current and up to date.

We are seeking an experienced Dry Fire Electrician to join our Fixed Facilities team in our Maitland and Hunter Valley region. This role will predominantly involve Inspection, Maintenance, and installation of emergency light systems and Fire detection and Warning systems throughout the region, with the occasional assisting our Newcastle team

• Electrical trade qualification
• Sound understanding of AS1851 and AS1670 and relevant Australian standards and building codes
• Hold current manual drivers licence
• Demonstrate a positive / energetic attitude
• Be solution-based and have the ability to propose solutions to customers for issues
• Be an all-rounder and have a flexible “can-do” attitude
